Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal attack on an XL bully dog in Slough.<\/p>\n
Thames Valley police said the dog was \u201cdeliberately attacked and seriously injured\u201d in the Berkshire town on 29 September. It was taken for emergency treatment but died from its injuries.<\/p>\n
A force spokesperson said the two men, aged 20 and 22, were arrested on Friday at an address in the town, where a quantity of cannabis was also found.<\/p>\n
The 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B and possession of an offensive weapon.<\/p>\n

The force spokesperson said: \u201cThames Valley police officers have arrested two men in connection with a fatal attack on a dog in Slough. The officers arrested the pair, aged 20 and 22, and both from Slough, at an address in the town on Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe officers also searched the address and found a quantity of cannabis. The arrests were in relation to a dog being deliberately attacked and seriously injured in Burnham Lane at around 6.05pm on 29 September.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe dog, whose breed remains unconfirmed but is thought to be an XL bully, was taken for emergency treatment but died from its injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n
The spokesperson said both men were released on police bail until January.<\/p>\n
A 31-year-old man from Slough was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B and was also released on police bail until January.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
