Seven tornadoes have hit Florida<\/a> in advance of Hurricane Milton<\/a>, the National Weather Service in Miami said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n Hurricanes and tropical storms have the ability to produce tornadoes.<\/p>\n The National Weather Service said there had been 53 tornado warnings issued by 3pm ET on Wednesday, 41 of which were issued by the weather service in Miami<\/a>.<\/p>\n The weather service said on X that it had \u201creceived reports of structures damaged in Lakeport\u201d on Wednesday as the \u201cmost recent tornado-warned storm moved through the area\u201d. The service said it was the second tornado to impact Lakeport, an unincorporated community about two hours from Miami, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n A tornado was captured on video tearing through Fort Meyers, crossing over the major I-75 highway as cars were still driving.<\/p>\n Hurricane Milton has been downgraded to category 3 but is still a grave threat to Florida, officials said.<\/p>\n
